About this community:
"Aging in place" is defined as "The ability to live in one’s own home and community safely, independently, and comfortably, regardless of age, income, or ability level."
Virtually every Baby Boomer has or will face issues related to caring for their aging parents. This community highlights tools, technologies and trends to assist in this care as well as providing a road-map for our own futures. The community discussion includes in-home healthcare monitoring technologies, home design and accessibility (Universal Design and Smart Homes) as well as financial and real estate strategies
It would be naïve to assume that careful planning alone can solve the myriad of social issues related to aging and caregiving. The EDEN sister community, Care Giver's Ally, specifically explores these topics.
